Preliminary program for the three-day post-symposium tour
(Friday 6th – Sunday 8th September 2019)
A post-symposium tour lasting three days will be organized in the southern part of coastal Croatia, Dalmatia, known for its tradition in fig growing and drying. We will visit fig producers from this area and you will be able to be part of “Figs festival”, traditionally organized in Zadar in the month of September.
Technical congress with few presentations regarding world fig production will take place within the post- symposium tour for the Croatian producers. Further visit of Opuzen and Metković is planned for the 2nd day of the tour, visiting fig production and processing in the valley of the river Neretva.
